Friends of Dunorlan Park Privacy Statement

The Friends of Dunorlan Park maintains a spreadsheet of all members. We record (where the information has been given to us) their names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and gift aid status. We also record (if appropriate) whether the membership fee has been paid for the current year and whether the membership is chargeable, complimentary or honorary. We make notes, for internal use only, of information such as death of spouses and donations made, in order to deal sensitively with individual communications with members.

The information held is used to track the status of memberships with particular reference to payments made or due. It is also used to prepare mail shots of newsletters and other communications such as event invitations and financial appeals. Newsletter distribution is carried out by e-mail, where possible, but we are pleased to mail by post to any individual on request and will obviously do so to members without e-mail address.

We also record mailing details of some valued non-member contacts and each of these has been asked to opt in in order to continue to receive mailings from the Friends.

The information is used for the above purposes only and is never used by the Friends for other purposes or sold or given to any third parties under any circumstances.

With reference to the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) of May 2018, we are assuming that we can continue to contact our members under the ‘legitimate interest’ clause.  However, if any member wishes their data to be amended or wishes not to receive newsletters or other mailings, they should e-mail to fodp@talktalk.net or write to the Chairman at Wildings, Pembury Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3QN.

Peter Russell, Chairman, Friends of Dunorlan Park, May 2018.
