Event Gallery

Dunorlan Park is a hive of activity throughout the year with organised events and activities to suit every taste. Many of these events are free of charge to FoDP members.

Fungal Foray

In October there was a great turnout for Keith Palmer's Fungal Foray and we found lots of different specimens.

Model Boat Event

In June, despite unpredictable weather, we had a fun model boat event. It's going to be bigger and better in 2026.

Walk In The Park

It was a very hot and sunny June day for the first Walk in the Park, led by Siobhan and Peter. We covered the history of our beautiful park.

Bat Walk

Our two bat walks in July and August were very popular. We handed out bat detectors so we could hear and see these fascinating creatures. Thank you to David Scully and Kent High Weald Partnership for sharing their expertise.

Tree Walk

In May David Carey led a walk highlighting some of the interesting trees in the park. At one point we were joined by four ducks. They were non members and refused to pay. They said put it on Peter Russell's bill.

Annual General Meeting

In April about 40 members attended the FoDP AGM. Thank you to Ian West for letting us use the cafe and to his lovely staff for serving refreshments.

Drinks & Nibbles

On a freezing January evening we were delighted to welcome members to the Drinks & Nibbles evening organised by Committee member Valerie Le Moignan. Thank you to the Mayor Cllr Nancy Warne, and to Council Leader Ben Chapelarf for joining us.
